We need systemic change, not a letter. We need funded services based on current science, not the dogmatic "therapy + exercise will cure all and if it doesn't, it's your own fault." Yes sure there are some good GP's for whom such a letter might work. But they're rare and have to fight the system
Show PostThe problem is how deep the dogma runs in the NHS. Fully by design. The problem is that wessely, the eugenicist asshole the government use as their attack dog when they next want to de-humanise a vulnerable patient group, is still in his job, pulling strings and preventing progress.
Show PostA GP told me that "PEM has been debunked" and "GET is the only treatment for ME". Told her the NICE guideline explicitly states GET shouldn't be offered to pwME. Reply: "Oh. Well I disagree with that." The problem is that the NICE guidelines are voluntary and unenforcable. Not that GP's are unaware

Church View Surgery PL9 8BW recently refused me based on. Quote my NHS complaint - a lack of confidence/ expertise so would ask you to add it to any list of unsafe practices. DMs are open if you care to chat.
