I lived in Venezuela and left when Chavez took over as all signs pointed to authoritarianism and increased corruption under his rule. Maduro made it even worse. There is no conspiracy to try to deligitamise socialist countries, there are just a bunch of shit ones that usually align with Russia.

IDK, DT sounds a lot like "Socialist" Nicholas Maduro. My Venezuelan friends cringe when they see a red T-shirt, but the Venezuela they describe is really a corrupt oligarchy. There's nothing socialist about it
