Another John Cunliffe interview here, where he talks quite a bit about Rosie & Jim. It also mentions the first series of Postman Pat "took nearly two years" to animate, so presumably Woodland would have started production around late 1979 or early 1980. (Telegraph and Argus, 2nd March 1996)
