..Soft tissue/bone spurs/ligaments, collapsed hoof etc. He still had coffin joint wear, but not worse that it was 2 years ago. They are now going to involve their vet specialist and I hope my vet actually tells them this. I suspect I'm going to lose out on this.

NFU are trying to weasel out of paying for Loss of animal. They are pointing to the fact we had Dougie's coffin joints treated 2 years ago, saying it was related to that claim that expired. I said to them no, this started with the multiple abcesses then further decline in hooves/laminitis...
