If Europe and other "middle powers" want to see what striving for digital sovereignty really means look no further than the frantic efforts of Zuck / Meta to put some device - any device - on the hands of "consumers". All the cloud and "AI" in the world will not help if a screen gatekeeper says no.

From what I understand: Instead of YOU having to prove that a tech company DIDN'T follow GDPR obligations, The tech companies now instead have to prove they actually DID follow GDPR. Burden of proof is on them. They cant just blanket deny everything. Huge if true! Nice one @iccl.bsky.social
