I don’t think someone who got their last shot in 2021 (so before Omicron) is protected by it

I defer to folks who study this more, but I was taught that the reason breakout strains (eg H1N1) hit the very young and those over 60 harder is because of some retained immune memory of similar strains (which wanes as immune function wanes after 60).
