Don't use genAI chatbots. If you do—please don't—do not buy into the marketing that you're on a direct, secure line to a magical assistant. Do not tell it anything you wouldn't say in public. This is still just the internet. There's no magic. You need to be careful with your personal information.
Show PostBut when these things are presented as "magic", it becomes much easier to not think about how they work. Chatbots aren't actually the humanoids they present themselves as. They're software controlled by for-profit companies. Assume those companies can and will misuse information you give them.
