🧪⚛️ It's been a while since my undergrad mech/aerospace engineering days, but let me tell you: If there are visible Mach diamonds in the exhaust from these thrusters, they are LOUD AS F--K! (leaving aside all the other issues with the vehicle)

An unexpected clear night with no moon, so I had a go at a very challenging target from an urban back yard, Sh2-114, the Flying Dragon Nebula. Its long neck and body are clear, but even with 2 hours pointed at it, I only just made out the spread of its wings across the frame. 🔭🧪
