Cross-runtime and cross-provider is the interesting part here. Email code gets messy fast when the runtime and transport are baked into everything. Nice direction.

cross-runtime is the hard part nobody appreciates until they hit it. we deal with the same thing on the pdf side, forks that claim parity with upstream but drift the moment you touch streaming or attachments. good on you for shipping calendar invites too, that format gets underestimated

You probably already have a PDS somewhere, so writing content to that is much simpler, and you get distribution for free, and tools like constellation and slingshot can even tie together content from across the network in a meaningful way (generic aggregation)
