Looking over the Epstein book messages, I'm struck by how comfortable everyone was with compiling something like this, contributing to it, and receiving it. Something most people with common sense would avoid like the plague. But the super-rich and powerful know how insulated they are.
Show PostTaking power away from predators seems like a good place to start. Even if you're not comfortable with power, we can start by taking it away from criminals continually committing crimes.
Show PostThe way we've been doing things, even the ways we've been winning, are no longer enough. We need to build our collective power, but crucially, we need to get comfortable with taking it back and actually using it. It's an uphill climb but a necessary one.
Show PostI'll close on this: over years of political work and trainings, I've noted how uncomfortable many on the left are with building collective power, and taking power. I think that's why concepts like noncooperation and disruption are slow to take hold. To defeat Trump, this has to change.
