Some people actually lose all the weight they need to on the starter dose, which isn't even considered 'theraputic'. Bodies can be very different. I am not a fan of needles, but find these pretty easy. Meanwhile, there is one pill out and others in the works.

Regarding sudden weight change, few people are super responders and the condensed advice from the message boards is DO NOT allow a doctor to automatically ramp you up to the highest dose. Stay on the lowest one that is giving you modest, consistent results, like a pound or two a week.
