Oh, I agree. Descriptively, that’s the phrase that triggered the randos. I just think it’s important not to care very much, and to support other authors in caring as little as they’re able. Ppl who use a study of X use to remind us that they disapprove of X itself do not need our solicitude.

The judge also cited the dozens of UCLA faculty who testified to the "present harm" they suffer as a result of these threats. Thank you to my colleagues who were willing to go on record to describe their experiences.
