It's an issue with the USB connection at a hardware, firmware or OS level. The computer you're using or the cable aren't working properly. There's no use in waiting more than a couple seconds after it reboots. You can safely unplug it and plug it back in again to see if that gets it connected.

Show PostThis is the new GrapheneOS boot animation. It's generated frame-by-frame using a script. It has a minimum 3.5s total runtime for the intro including a small pause. The rest of the animation gets interrupted once the device is booted to avoid any delay so there can't be an outro.
