The fact that more and more people need welfare to meet basic needs is nothing to celebrate. It’s an indictment of the status quo. We want to shrink the state to the point that ordinary people can afford their own basic needs — and have enough left over to help others.

We should withdraw from the Paris Accord. Even more fundamentally, however, we should muzzle the power of the government to sell out our economic liberty through any regulation, law, agreement or treaty. The state has no right to negotiate away our prosperity.
