From my hotel room in Manchester, there an electronic billboard in a car park, and every 30 seconds, you can see money being burnt to promo a film no one wants to see, to placate an ego, 5,000 miles away. Must check out that new biscuit though.

Just dropped off my boy for his GCSE exam, and he seemed far more relaxed than I feel. I'm so proud of him. But man, this sure is resurfacing all of my exam stresses. Good luck to all GCSE students. And to all the parents: I feel for you.
