WoTC really fucked you over by leaving you to invent character motivations where they are already clearly established and central to Astarion’s trauma. I understand you are legally bound not to disparage them. I’m begging you to engage with the fan grievances with more empathy and sincerity.

Yes, well, I didn't tell the book violates the canon. I only wanted to ask for the author's point of view on that particular piece of in-game lore

But in the book happens only 50 years before the game events... And why Cazador feeds them with fruits?
Show PostUrsula, as a fan, PLEASE listen to what fans are actually saying and not these cherry-picked strawman arguments. Your reputation will not recover from this. WoTC do not GAF about the character lore. You did not learn the basics of this character & it shows. The hedonistic, charming rake is a mask.
Show PostLook, I literally could not believe the screenshots without creating a BlueSky acct and seeing for myself. I could rationalize the book itself. You trusted WoTC to give you appropriate guardrails. But why are you doubling down and mocking legitimate backlash? I can’t defend this. We trusted you.
