Our City Explorers will visit South Highfields on Sunday 25 October. One of the Explorers will be telling us about some of the people who lived there, the Highfields Blitz and why it's a conservation area.  Meet in Madison’s 128 London Road @ 1.30pm Exploration starts outside the cafe @ 2pm.

📅 Hugh Latimer, one of the Oxford Martyrs of Anglicanism, died on this day in 1555. ✝️ Latimer was born in Thurcaston, Charnwood Forest, and went on to become Bishop of Worcester. Under the Catholic Queen Mary I he was executed for his religious beliefs.
