Chris Van Hollen isn't afraid of a facing a petty tyrant like Bukele on his own turf. He was born in Pakistan to a Foreign Service dad and CIA mom. He lived in south and west Asia until he was 16, a time of tremendous political upheaval. His life experience is not that of your typical US Senator.
