Also I may be remembering wrong, but there are some very strategically placed thunderclaps. Particularly during the moment where Calypso is deciding to let Odysseus go. But this will probably offend a classicist because it isn't being telegraphed obviously by Hermes or whatever.

Yes. That was an interesting choice. Athena is not portrayed as she usually would. Poseidon’s role is huge in terms of consequences, but once on the voyage, not seen. I like that interpretation even tho the poem is filled with the gods.
