2\ or it doesn't stand up to scrutiny then it's wrong, correcting that benefits the profession and the patient. Dr Cass here knows that her work wont stand up to scrutiny to is using the press to send a warning to MP's and anyone who dare question it, that alone should be sending up giant red flags

Here's the thing, Dr's / scientists etc are always happy to have their work reviewed and scrutinised, this is how medicine progresses, Dr's know if they missed something
