Trump is threatening to withhold back pay for federal workers furloughed during the shutdown — which goes against a law he signed in 2019, by the way. This should come as no surprise: Trump and his businesses have been accused of stiffing hundreds of their own workers out of pay over the years.

The drop in the stock market might not affect how MAGAs view Trump. Many are not wealthy enough to have retirement funds. In which case, they could be thrilled at the news. However, his wealthy Republican supporters must be feeling some pain.

My local car wash was stormed by ICE. All the workers were taken. How does this help my community or my country? Now these workers cannot earn. The car wash owners cannot get revenue, and I cannot have my car washed.
