Ordered her to do so over her objection. And she did. And she still lost her job. And the consequences aren't over for her yet. I hope this is a lesson in ethics for other prosecutors and future law students.

Put yourself in her shoes: you've gone 26 of your 27 years in civic-service serving alongside trusted colleagues and doing important work. Then, the guy who attempted an insurrection is your President again, and if you quit, you have no safety net. That's terrible.

You really ought to read her letter. It certainly seems that she was set up from the get-go on the off-chance that they would need a convenient scapegoat to cover for their BS moves and decisions they made as her superiors, many of which she had no clue about at the time.
