I understand editors want peer review to move quickly, but if everyone is just saying no because they’ve got too much on their plate then surely this would be a good compromise!

And perhaps extend the usual deadlines across the board? I turned down so much peer review atm because the deadline is so short, and it’s an automated email so there’s no option to ask for more time.

I am happy to spit feathers should editors *introduce* errors into my text (happens all too often). But Osman made that mistake all by himself, and he's blaming an editor who makes a fraction of his money for trusting him to know what he was talking about.
