Online dating is basically job hunting - you didn't meet and fall in love, you answered an advert - it's not a "date", it's an interview. A transaction. When you see it for what it is, it's hardly surprising that so many people "move on" when another offer comes along.

I don't agree it's inevitable, because AI is not actually good at doing my job. AI is definitionally incapable of creating anything novel. The ubiquitous rollout and forcefeeding of gen AI is wishful thinking from execs who have thrown billions into a black hole and are desperate to find a use case
