I have developed (with @denzquix.bsky.social) a Python package to plot phylogenetic trees onto an existing matplotlib plot - so annotations can be added using mpl functions and figs with phylogenies can be automated. Please try it! github.com/KatyBrown/pl... or pip install plot_phylo
