Personally experienced this even from afar as a knotty, complicated, sickener in the gut when reading about her, a poet, in her 30s, a mother, her "pronouns in bio" and thinking "fuck, she's one of us, like me and lots of my friends" - then the immediately dawning cold racial element of this.
