A while back a friend posted a conversation he'd witnessed going something like "I'm in my bathtub shaving my lesbians" "LEGS I MEANT LEGS" We ended up having some giggles and meme-ing on it and I promised to draw it. Much like an Immortal vow from EGS the thing's been ringing in my head until now.

The fast fashion companies/art thieves/wage thieves are all part of the same horrible system that grinds people down and spits out crap to be consumed and then discarded to be piled in a trash heap in someone else's country. This is how fun mittens get turned into human misery. And I hate it.
Show PostPeople will be disappointed when their $20 doesn't get them hand knit mittens. Will they be made by some unpaid (or severely underpaid) factory worker using a knitting machine, or a sewing machine? This kind of theft isn't just bad for the artist, but for the people who make the crappy versions.
Show PostIn the end I took a screenshot and used "lens" to find an exact match, went to a FB content scraper post, found a comment posting the IG handle of the knitter, then the pattern designer mentioned in the IG poster's video description. I hate art-stealing drop-shippers.
Show PostI knew it had to be stolen and shouldn't be sold for $20 in some random webshop. A search that would have taken me 30 seconds 15 years ago, took me 30+ minutes. All the "relevant" references were drop-shippers and not knitters.
