Rollups and time tracking feel like control, but they’re often just faux accounting that pulls us away from real work and outcomes. Loved the focus on capacity as something built over time and the reminder that impact > perfect reports.

Not surprising. We’re leaving the "AI for everything" hype cycle and entering the "AI for specific, boring problems" phase. That’s where the actual ROI lives, solving one specific friction point deeply rather than trying to be a magic wand for the whole business.

The line that resonated most: the goal of the project is never to deliver the project, but to achieve something else. I’ve found that asking, “What’s the smallest meaningful result we can deliver to prove value?” saves more projects than any gantt chart ever has.
