In a perfect world, I would agree with you. Unfortunately, nationalism is used for the exclusionary and discriminatory practices you mention. A terrorist is a terrorist and I really don’t care why. I have no reason to doubt all the studies mentioned in the Wikipedia article. In the end it doesn't matter whom the Ashkenazi Jews descend from, because genetics cannot justify zionism either way.
