Show PostIn conclusion, our IRS is a novel biological indicator of BD. Combining imaging and genetic risk scores, which may capture distinct liabilities, enhances biological characterization and should inform future clinical prediction models.
Show PostFinally, we associated BD-related symptom data from developing youth in the ABCD study® with both the IRS and PRS. We found the strongest associations were with the IRS and increased energy as reported by a parent as well as distress from psychotic-like experiences as self-reported by the youth.
Show PostMRS models combining both risk scores typically outperformed any individual risk score. The best MRS model performance was in differentiating BD type I cases from controls where an AUC of 0.74 was achieved. Notably, the IRS and PRS were uncorrelated with each other.
Show PostPRS derived from the largest genome-wide association study of BD to date outperformed subtype specific PRS. The strongest performance was for differentiating BD type I cases from controls where the BD PRS achieved and AUC of 0.7.
