Tired of living in a culture that see bodies like mine and others as objects that can be used. To live in a culture that tells people to take glee in it. I watched a commercial the other day that was a lawyer saying “he’ll protect you from false allegations.” It was on national tv.

Gonna be honest, between Jacob Gellar and Cornell (I went to Ithaca College) it’s been a real shit week. Having just written extensively about rape and assault for a recent video, all this has honestly just hit me awfully. I hate living in a culture where rape is so common, so excused and enabled.

I believe in restorative justice. I want that for Jacob and perhaps he was on that path (though fuck his uni for giving him the meagerest of punishments, but that’s the system working as intended). But he is owed nothing & he owes his/other victims ALL his consideration, which he did not give.
