I know that transition is objectively terrifying, but I think we should encourage each other to feel like we can figure out what being our sex means without help. Beyond HRT and standard friendship with other transsexuals, I know you can figure out who you are on your own.

And if you're at a protest and things start to get too scary, listen to your own gut. Don't do things just because some stranger or some "leader" with a megaphone gives an order. You feel sketched out? Don't do it. Don't march into that tunnel. Don't kneel in front of cops. Just bug out.
