Water refill stations are one of the forgotten facilities for travel & recreation. Like benches etc there aren't enough in most places but they're great, even if running errands! Hill Head has 4(!) and I find the taps at some train stations helpful as it saves weight to not pack as much water.

That was my thought too. I'd seen others suggest this as the more likely source in the past. Not sure we've had the weather conditions to bring them over the Atlantic. But we have had weather conditions to bring them up from the south.

I was told that the pollen of Sycamore and Field Maple are very hard to separate, so evidence is unclear either way.
