@squadronuk.bsky.social Drove up from Crawley to Stafford yesterday and ran Golden Heroes today with some other fans of the game. Played for 6 hours and had a great time. Thanks, Simon, for this great game

#TTRPGTHOUGHTS 1 How long are you willing to wait for your TTRPG fix? I am not a fan of deferred gratification. My feelings vary over time. What I’m enjoying today might not be what I fancy the day after tomorrow. I shouldn’t really comment on Kickstarter as I don’t use it. But…. 1

I’m at the CON-DENSED convention on Worthing. So far I’ve run Golden Heroes. I’ve run a classic dungeon from DUNGEON Magazine #3 - “Falcon’s Peak” (using my d6 Hack rules). I’ve played in PbtA Games “Escape from Dinosaur Island” and a quick game of ”This house is f*cking haunted.” Fun.

People forget that Watchmen and Batman Returns only work AFTER you’ve read a lot of the “ordinary” comics. See also the movies that try to adapt the classic/best stories without putting in the groundwork first. (Dark Phoenix anyone?) You need something to subvert before you can subvert it.

I have a lot of time for Superhero 44. (NOT Superhero 2044.*) Not the GAME part if it - which was basically just unfinished. Everything else. Page after page just dripping with brilliant ideas and inspiration. * Superhero 2044 was Superhero 44 with bits added on that undermined the product.
