Had a convo earlier this week where I was telling someone I'm looking for non-art work and they expressed multiple times that I shouldn't give up on my art and I had to express, multiple times, that the art industries I've worked in the last 15 years are no longer viable and I have bills to pay.

If there's one thing I suggest junior artists practice for animation work, it's observation skills. Volumes, perspective, proportions, negative space. That's what I'm frequently noting up to get things on model. The relationships between shapes is priority with draftsmanship.
