ZP on what he disagrees with in the motion: “The part I disagree with is the Green Party of England and Wales or indeed even the British government deciding that there should be a single state. I think that's up to the Israelis and the Palestinians."
Show PostNo, it quite explicitly described Zionism as an ideology supporting "an ethnonationalist Jewish state in historic Palestine to the exclusion and/or domination of the non-Jewish population", which is modern Zionism.
Show PostI think what people have quite subtly at first and I guess really not so subtly do after a while was conflate zionism with religion when it suits them and then separate them when it doesn't. i'm not a fan of how the greens have gone about this but it's pretty obvious what they mean
Show PostI wouldn’t have endorsed it myself but it has prompted more or less our entire political/media class to make bright red raw raspers of themselves, very publicly. I don’t think anyone watching could be under any illusions about what has been happening here.
Show PostWe need EVERYONE to get on board with this. People on both sides look about as foolish as someone in Ulaanbaatar giving opinions on Scottish independence in a vox pop. It was paternalistic British people deciding they knew best what should happen in the Middle East that got us into this mess.
