this is one of the few times Mozilla has opposed an API for an actually sensible reason. i do hope at some point either the idea is scrapped *for webpages* (not for browser extensions) or at the very least, adapted into something more open and reasonable by Mozilla, MSFT, Apple and co.

I could not get the C# bindings to work, with the Rust bindings a project takes decades to compile after each change. Didn't try Java or Kotlin, though. QML is not an issue for me, either.
