Show Post💥😍👍 Chestnut Bunting today on Unst. Yet another epic find by @brydonthomason.bsky.social. Could be tricky to get views, but occasionally showing well with patience. #YellBirding #Shetland #RareBirdsUk
Show PostWhilst looking at Oaks in Catton Park today I noticed the distinctive mines of Tischeria dodonaea, which is a new one for the 10km square. www.norfolkmoths.co.uk/micros.php?b...
Show PostA big splash of colour at Tresta today with this beautiful first-winter Golden Oriole offering lovely views. Golden 'O's are scarce migrants to Shetland with the vast majority of records in spring and only a handful of records in October. #BirdingScotland #UKbirding #RareBirdsUK #Birds #UKWildlife
Show PostThe Max Hooper, Ernie Pollard & Norman Moore experimental hedges at Monks Wood will be 65 yrs old next year. Planted as 1+ km of pure hawthorn in 1963, the aim was to see how long it took them to naturally diversify. They're still mostly hawthorn, but many other species have colonised.
