100% agree everything, EVERYTHING is weighed in energy and pain costs. As I read your post, I’m deciding if hosting my childhood friend, her husband and sister was worth multiple days of exhaustion and pain (despite my best planning.) Alas. I fear the answer is “No.” I won’t be doing it again.

I have had the same reaction even with a locked door and the occupied sign on. People kept trying to come in. Every time someone tried to come in, I couldn't go. When I finally came out, it was to glares about taking too long.
