i feel like its quite a bit. 1.6 opened on the correct monitor every time without fail on both windows and linux 1.7 opens on my third monitor repeatedly until i literally turn off every monitor but my primary in software on linux. go back to 1.6: none of the menu buttons work anymore.

Agree. Code is expressed and conceptualized in human terms, so it's not purely mechanical. And even if you wanted to ignore that aspect, and say as long as it works it's fine, it was trained on uncountable scores of people's work without consent, disregarding licenses.
