I'm so honored to be the inaugural Roslyn M. Litman Endowed Professor of Law in Civil Liberties. Roz was a pioneer. She graduated from Pitt Law in 1952 and spent her life advancing civil rights. It is such a gift to be a part of honoring her legacy. (1/3)

I am delighted to share to share my latest article, “Political Philosophy and Realism in Criminal Law Theory,” now published in the Oxford Journal of Legal Studies. I argue that the debate between legal moralism and the political turn in criminal law theory is really about the lack of realism!
