Detesting women and femininity is very easy to sell. People will buy it for free, for social cohesion, and help sell it to others. Disparaging femininity and anyone who displays or appreciates it is fodder for misogyny. Plenty of gay men dislike feminine men. See: "straight-acting" on Grindr.
