This might be considered minor, but thinking of quantum uncertainty as if it's just a version of classical uncertainty (there is a position and velocity of the particle, we just don't know what it is) is the source of a great deal of confusion.

The UP is not about what we can know, it's a restriction on what quantum states exist. There is no such thing as "what the position/velocity" of the particle is; those are observables, assigned a probability distribution in any state. The UP is a limit on what those probability distributions can be.
