I get what you're going for with the metaphor, but I don’t think it really fits for an MMO. In a game like this, the host doesn’t have full control over what people decide to do in a public space.

This take is so dogwater it's actually making me angry. How is Feri, literally one of the nicest bright spots in this community, catching these brain-dead strays from people for not waving their hands at others and screaming "STOP HAVING FUN NOW" as SE stands in the corner counting our sub dollars.

There was no way Feri could've known this would blow up in the way it did. (Most of this is on SE tho, you cannot deny that. FF14 is a *social* game too, and if the servers can't handle that many players in 1 area, its on SE, not Feri, to fix that. No need to start a witch-hunt.

Only that it isn't a house but rather a public space that people going there are paying a subscription fee to use in the exact same capacity as anyone "living there" does themselves. Feri can't make anyone leave at all if people want to be there.
