I understand nasty, anonymous comments. I'm occasionally publicly Jewish on Bluesky. But some of these people have read literally hundreds of newsletters from me, many of them of a personal (ish) nature. You'd have thought they’d recognise there’s a person on the other side of the email.

Bashar' father was in power since 1970, persecuting Jews for over two decades before allowing the remaining community to leave. But, of course, this is ancient history, unlike the 1948 war in Israel, right?

After many years, I cancelled my membership of the Green Party a couple of months ago. I didn't vote for Zack, not because I disagreed with him, but because I feared that this would be the outcome of electing a populist leader. These entryists are destroying years of work by the Greens 😪
