You could be right. They probably want to take advantage of early adopters before dropping the price 2 months later (or less). But by then, haven’t a lot of potential customers moved on to playing other games & got hyped about newer releases? Also, the lack of Greatest Hits anymore is a shame.

Game dev here. I think games should be cheaper so more people can afford them and take a chance on them. 2 million people paying $40 for your game earns you more money than 1 million paying $70. Then you have more fans who’ll post about it, wait for the next game, buy merch, buy the DLC, etc.
