The only thing I can really maybe think of is John Szczepanik's "Untold History of Japanese Game Developers" series, but that's a long shot and I think even that focuses mostly on older games, and from across the industry. (John also seems to be on the outs with lots of people lately, if it matters)

Gosh. Post-console? I'm personally struggling to think. There's Sega Retro, the sister site to Sonic Retro, that catalogs everything Sega has ever done, but that's "just" a wiki. Most people tend to focus on the rise and fall of Sega and they all end at the death of the Dreamcast.

I actually haven’t seen any books doing this yet. Most have been focused on Sega consoles yet that’s a great idea. I know for stream and YouTube purposes at some point I’ll also be covering Sega’s games once they went software-only.

If I had the time, I would totally put out a 30-45 min video out on this topic because it's something I've been interested in doing. I'll tag @gtothenextlevel.com because he may know more about this than I do ☺️
