A walk on @hwpath.bsky.social today. Cawfield Quarry to Walltown Quarry. Short but a great walk full of fabulous views, a genuine Roman altar at Aesica Roman Fort, a Roman milestone used as a gatepost, King Arthur's Turret & lots locations used in The Deer Hunters (Vera series 4, episode 3).

P.S. I owe a lot to that Group. I joined them when I was 16 and after a rubbish acting career, I was opted to the lighting as I was a sparky by then and I’m pretty sure it helped my future employment in TV. There were five people on my ‘board’ I was petrified but I’m sure AmDram lighting swung it. 🙏🏻

I once lit an AmDram performance of Harwood’s ‘The Dresser’. The play within the play (King Lear) required a wind machine and thunder sheet. What a cacophony plus my lighting simulating ’the storm’, great fun and beautifully performed by the amateur cast. My boss came to see it and was impressed too
