It actually helps to explain some of the behaviours we are seeing among GOP members, especially the craven submission to Trump of people who, at heart, know that he's nuts. They ALL have skeletons in their cupboards, and keeping these hidden is their no. 1 priority. Everything else is secondary.

No he wasn’t. He thought he could tell Zelenskyy to agree to ceasefire, give Russia land and the US mineral rights and it would be over. For now. Turns out, Zelenskyy wasn’t a push over.
