Yesterday I was kicking myself that I hadn’t walked up Bird Rock, Craig Y Aderyn, a significant landmark in Susan Cooper’s The Grey King, when I was in Gwynedd. “I’ll just have to come back to Wales another time,” I thought. From New Zealand. But I had a day free and it was only a two hour drive.
